Ginger Crackles (4doz)

3 1/2 c. flour

2 T. ginger

4 tsp. baking soda

2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 c. molasses

¼ c. syrup

1 tsp salt

1 ½ c. shortening

1 c. white sugar

1 c. brown sugar

2 eggs

 

Sift dry ingredients & add to wet ingredients.

Dough will be dry & mealy, work with hands to make a pliable dough.

Shape balls size of walnuts, roll in sugar

Bake at 300-325
